We think our culture is great, and our people agree!

JLL Houston is proud to announce it was named one of the best places to work in Houston by both the Houston Business Journal and Houston Chronicle.

The results in both programs are based on employee feedback surveys administered by leading research firms specializing in organizational health and workplace improvement.

A career at JLL means being at the center of one of the largest, most sophisticated commercial real estate and investment management firms in the world. Whether it’s our clients, colleagues or communities, at JLL: We’re all about people.

Here’s what a few of our team members had to say about why JLL is a great place to work.

best places to work Garrold Parratt, Executive Vice President – Office Tenant Representation

I joined JLL (then The Staubach Company) because of its reputation as a leader in the industry and for its client-first philosophy.

My favorite part about working at JLL is the culture of the company. The people make it great!

I like the fact that JLL employees are encouraged to get involved and find their niche, whatever it is. Working for JLL, ideas are encouraged. If you’re part of the JLL team, you really do understand that we’re here because of the culture and the people. Yes, we have a strong and diverse platform of services that allows us to deliver exemplary results to our clients, but what I appreciate the most, are our JLL colleagues. They’re talented, ethical, inclusive, funny, kind…it’s truly a blessing to feel good about who you work with and what you get to do every day.

Quintin Ward, Senior Project Manager – Project & Development Services

At my previous employer, I was assigned to oversee work that JLL was providing in a critical data center. Throughout the project, I had the opportunity to work with several of the JLL PDS team members, as well as senior management within JLL. It wasn’t long before it became evident the JLL culture and its service delivery platform was light years ahead of others. Eventually, an offer was made and the rest is history. What has kept me at JLL through the years has been the JLL culture, which includes the people, shared values, ethical practices and company vision.

best places to work Wendy Vandeventer, Senior Vice President – Capital Markets

George Cushing and I had worked together at another firm for several years. When the company started restructuring, we looked around for a new home. We found that JLL was a fit both in culture and platform for our business. The reputation JLL has in the marketplace is one of integrity and professionalism and I am proud to have JLL on my business card. I am also appreciative of the diversity within JLL as a company.

best places to work Chris Burns, Associate – Retail Brokerage

From the top down, I think it’s the people at JLL that make it special. We have a tightknit group within our office that makes it fun to come to work every day. Even on a larger scale, when there are opportunities to meet JLL employees from outside our market you can tell that the company does a good job of finding and retaining top talent. It’s that combination of getting a fun atmosphere and a top-notch full service platform to back you that makes it great working here.

best places to work Chrissy Wilson, Senior Vice President – Office Agency Leasing

My favorite part about working at JLL is the people – not only within the agency group, but also in the tenant rep. group; killer marketing and research people who are extremely talented; and the opportunity to work with some really fine landlords/owners. Our agency group is very transparent, collaborative, honest, supportive, respected and quite frankly, very enjoyable to be around. Every day brings something different – especially in this market, but I am proud to be associated with JLL here in Houston, as well as on a national level.

best places to work Travis Secor, Senior Associate – Industrial Brokerage

I was drawn to the industrial brokerage team because of their reputation as the best in the business. When I heard they were looking to grow the team, the timing worked out perfectly. I like working at JLL because we have great people. Everyone is very professional and generous with their time. JLL provides all the resources you need to be successful. The office environment is fun and energetic.

best places to work James Brolan, Senior Vice President – Capital Markets

I’ve known Tom Melody, Mike Melody and Paul House for a number of years. When I was approached about the opportunity to join the platform I was immediately interested, but after meeting the rest of the team I knew I wanted to be part of what they were building. The culture of teamwork senior management had created was very attractive to me and JLL’s reputation in the market is second to none. The best part about working at JLL is the people. I’ve found that my professional relationships here have evolved into social relationships as well. It makes coming to the office less about work, and more about success for the team.
